Since being tipped off, members of the Coalition of the Killing - now calling themselves the RIDDLE Coalition (standing for Righting Inconvenient Deaths, Dealing Law Equally and referring to Voldemort's true name), began trying to decipher the cryptic clue left by the stranger. Mistakenly thinking it referred to the ring of the now deceased Green Lantern Hal Jordan, or to the newly drafted Aberrations star Parallax, the team made no headways. Until finally, the Winchester Bros. from the Impalers figured it out:
Sam: "I don't think so. The riddle talked about a fearless fallen one. Maybe it's being taken to literally.
See, there are a bunch of different lantern types. The green ones here are supposed to be the guardians. Rumor has it one "fell" and made his own warriors, using fear instead of willpower as an energy source.
Each lantern group has it's own oath they swear by. Hal's was a more noble one, but these guys, they are more of a dictator ship. Their oath reads:
'In blackest day, in brightest night,
Beware your fears made into light.
Let those who try to stop what's right
Burn like my power Sinestro's might!'
My bet is, we find this Sinestro guy, we find the horcrux."
Dean: "Tell them where you got this tidbit here."
Sam: "Well, uh...comic books?"
So when the Impalers met up with Sinestro this week for their match against his team - the Crows, they had a plan. Dean Winchester made a sacrificial deal with the devil to be sent to Hell and for their fallen teammate Falkor to return. Falkor bit off and spit the ring of Sinestro into the fires of Hell, destroying it.
Meanwhile, our mysterious shadowy figure approaches the RIDDLE Coalition Coaches with another clue:
