Mashers vs Guardians

The Margathean Mashers
vs.
The Cosmo Canyon Guardians
@ Total Perspective Vortex Arena

Paragon Percentage: No paragon will enter play
Coin Toss: Mashers win, will receive
Kickoff: Goku kicks to Neil Patrick Harris, who clears an attempted tackle by Joe Swanson but is taken down by Aragorn.
Entire Game Synopsis: Skeletor and Spider Jerusalem realize early on that they've got a pretty good tight match here. Both teams have solid running games, and some decent passing options. The Mashers manage to pull ahead first with the combined increased skillset of the Hitchhikers. The Guardians don't trail too much with the light defense that the Mashers have. As the game continues the score gets close but the Guardians unfortunately miss a last-second field goal when Godzilla (filling in for an injured Goku) kicks wide. This would have tied the game and sent it into overtime.

Result: MM 32 - CCG 30

Mashers vs. Coalition

The Margathean Mashers vs. The Central City Coalition
@ Total Perspective Vortex Arena
Paragon Percentage: Shephard Book will enter play.
Coin Toss: Mashers win, will receive.
Kickoff: Stan Lee does a light kick that is picked up after a scramble by Neil Patrick Harris who avoids Bizarro for a return touchdown to start the game.
Entire Game Synopsis: Though the Coalition has a strong team and probably would have pulled ahead if facing the Mashers alone, they can not compete with Book's tactical might and defense without their own paragon. However they do prevent a full blowout by the paragon-backed Mashers, which speaks loads about their skill.

Result: MM 35 - CCC 17

Mashers vs. Hippie Punchers

The Margathean Mashers vs. The Mann Co. Hippie Punchers
@ Degroot Keep

Inexplicably, the game will be played here:

Paragon Percentage: Neither Paragon will enter play
Coin Toss: Mashers win, will receive
Kickoff: Pyro kickstarts the game and Neil Patrick Harris grabs it, but he does not make it far before Carnage brings him down.
FIrst Quarter: Skeletor manages strong passing plays using most of his receivers, resulting in a slow but steady march towards the endzone. However he loses one receiver when War Machine "rock bottom"s Space Ghost. Ghost is replaced by The Kurgan, and War Machine manages to sneak his way out of an infraction. Skeletor continues his slow but steady assault, but finally fails to land a first down around the 20 yard line.  Jim Gordon comes in and begins to slowly drive his way back down the field. He would have an easier time if his team was more interested in the ball than hitting people. The quarter ends with a solid tie of zero to zero.
Second Quarter: Most of this quarter goes the same as the first, with slow but steady drives finally being halted before touchdowns can be made, and the drive reversed. Finally Trillian gets an open run and looks to have a shot at finally scoring when War Machine locks on and descimates her. Cheech enters play while she is scooped off the field and the ref finally outs WM who is replaced by Casey Jones. Casey manages to successfully block the final push by the Mashers, and the first half ends with no points to either team.
Third Quarter: Our drive back and forth continues. Every time either team makes any headway, the opponent finds a way to dash their hopes.
Fourth Quarter: With seconds left on the clock, the Hippie Punchers are tired of playing games. Like the game of football. Soldier calls the play and the ball is handed to him, and he immediately fires off his rocket launcher. Scarface, Mothman, Carnage, and Pyro start viscously attacking The Warriors. A riot ensues that sees the benches empty to each side as the refs lose control of the game. Finally the refs clear the field as time runs out and the entire rosters of both teams are passed out in various states of injury around the field, except for Marvin the Paranoid Android who seems to be overly depressed about the entire ordeal. In a sudden turn of luck, it appears as though Soldier's rocket jump pushed him back into his own endzone and he managed to still be in possession when he was knocked out. The refs count it as a safety for the Mashers.
